I've sold 27Mhz antennas by Maxrad in NMO config for years. The DC grounded version, MLBDC2700 works great in marginal grounding situations.
The antenna works as well as any CB antenna with similar specs. For best CB performance, I still would choose a Wilson 1000/5000 assuming a proper mounting location exists.
Conversly, if the only location is the corner of the hood on a right angle bracket I always will go with a Maxrad.
