I got one of the ham versions a few months ago.

The price was kind of scary for an HT antenna but it's the real deal. If you can't utilize an external antenna or you want to be truly portable but you want to listen to HF this thing kicks ass.

It's really amazing. It will literally pull up a weak 0 to 1 S meter signal to a half. Iv'e had a blast just sitting and tuning around with the R20 on Hf listening to all the stuff that thing would never even begin to receive on the stock antenna.

The construction quality is excellent too. You don't feel like you spend a-lot of money on some cheap ass Chinese thing that we all tend to expect anymore. It has a nice wear resistant type of rubberized coating and the collapsible part unscrews for quick storage.

Performance HF Antenna

Mancow:

Do you still have the Performance HF antenna?

Do you know if the company that makes those antennas is still in business? I've been searching for them, but haven't had any luck finding one for sale.

Thanks!
