You are correct

It's sold as the same specs or better as LMR.

Assembly made by Orinoco.

I bought 5 sections of this cable about a year ago after someone here posted that same link. It is great stuff, I have only used two lengths so far but wow what a difference.

I thought LMR-400 was made by Times Microwave? Is this a different company using the same model number?

LMR-400 is the cable frequency response spec, not model number. I guess you could analogize it to RG6, RG58, etc., except using "modern" designations of LMR-200, LMR-400, LMR-600, etc.

Having said that, I think a lot of radio geeks consider Times Microwave LMR-400 to be "the" gold standard in coax, even though it's produced by several manufacturers.

LMR-400 is simply bare bone entry line into the good stuff

Try using what i use
Andrews Heliax LDF5-50a for HF
Andrews Heliax LDF7-50a for VHF-UHF
