Why 50-999? The radio likely will not go much past 440 if it even gets that far. Unless you need T-band coverage, you would be better off selling that radio and buying an 'R' split if you want to use...

RCMP in BC is P25 conventional, full time AES-256 encryption, except where they use a wide area trunk system.

Alberta is going 700MHz trunked...
