Default Rack Mount

I'm looking for places to get a 19" rack mount 8U or more, desktop case
any ideas?, been looking but wow what some places charge is crazy.

Used is o.k. as well, I can swing a buzz bomb can with the best of them.....

Check local TV / Radio stations for 19" hardware. Check Hamfest in your area. I bought one at CoCo Beach Fla surplus store then found best one at Pawn Shop. Email me direct at: larryscan@charter.net and I will send you a photo of some of my rack mounted stuff. Larry

I decided against it, it's not worth the money they want and it also does not meet me design plans any longer, but thanks for the offer just the same.

I see that the OP has given up on this project, but for others that may also be looking, here's a solution we used when building our custom rack room. Got some angle irons of the correct length for the room. Drilled holes and tapped them for the rack screws on one side of the angle irons and on the other drilled mounting holes for screwing into the 2x4 studs (use a drill press for a better fit and easier drilling). On the very top and very botton we mounted some blank plates to better blend into the floor & ceiling. Did the whole room for just a few hundred vs the thousands it would've cost had we purchased them as rack mount rails.
