Smile Storm Warning Web Site

To the many visiters to my site - I like to thank you for clicking in and looking around.
But do to my condition medicly I had to make a choise. My Meds or the web site. Well
go figure what I chose. So for a little while there will be some banners on top of my site.
So please don't let this bother you all to still come and visit. Again thank for the hundreds
of hits you all gave me. Thank you.

Tons of ads, multiple pop ups, no need for the NWS broadcast to automatically play because most of the people will not be in that area, not even sure what useful info is on that page.

What info I saw was listed as jpegs? Why?

the reason for the jpeg is that I had people cutting and pasting my information and putting them on there pages, So this way it will slow them down. Sorry for the popups, but I had a choise to make. It my medication or the web site. So I got my meds and when I pay the bill it will be taken off. Mostly this page is designed for our members to use and our locals communitty to veiw. The NWS was put up do to many request by 13 people here in the independence area to listen to the NWS on my web site. I updat twice a week.

I didn't flame anyone, he asked and he received my opinion. You can choose to not read what I have to say and you would likely not understand much of my advice anyway so there is no real loss.

This was posted in the "Severe Weather / Storm Chasing" forum. If it had been in a local state forum I would have understood such local minded information, yet that's not where it was posted. I think if someone posts in this forum such a website without mentioning that is for a local user base, it's ok to mention what I did.

Yet they are still light years beyond your spelling and sentence structure.

Lige Turner? He is on the board of directors, and that site reminds me an awful lot of the "N.E.A.R. TEAM, INC."

By the way, let me know how much money you make off your pop-ups and ads. I can assure you it won't be enough to pay for a bottle of Tylenol.

I don't make any money off the pop-ups. The web sit host does. Yes lige was on near team but he gave it up a long time ago. He helps out with our stuff here at the office and his record keeping skills are grate. Yes his spelling is poor but with his new computer he now has MS-Office 2007 W/Spell check...lol... Alls we do here is monitoring the weather and report it to Kansas City NWS. We don't put crazy light bars on our cars or have porky pines for transportation. Our job is to observe and to report nothing else. We maintain a professional look and attitude.

What the joke about my web site.?? I use what I can afford. Its not much but it works. Our members use it and it works for them. Sorry I can't use the web site with the proffensional set it up for you. I had my web site up now for 3 years and realy got no complants. Trust me on this, you don't want to be in my shoes. You would not be able to wake a mile. I'm always in pain so my meds are important. If I don't take them I can die. So Viking1 I made the right choise. The choise to be with my family and freinds. Never make any comment on other people choises, you never know how important they may be.

You really ought not be jeopardizing your health over a website. Sounds like your meds should be the foremost concern there for no choice in the matter. If you have locals that use and enjoy it what the heck, let them donate, if you dont take the meds the website will cease anyhow. Pretty easy Clear Choice. Hoser

The members help on a volunteer bases. It was my Idea to have one. Like I said the popups are tempary and any ways when I pay the bill they will be taken off. This is a yearly bill not by a mounthy bases.

For the web site design - I'm not a expert on web design and I'm still lerning.

You all should stop making fun of people's web sites. At least I have one. Theres many of you out there with only hometown pages,or myspace accounts. In stead of making a problem with some you don't know, why not help the guy out. Most of the bandits on this web site arn't the spellers ethere. But you don't here me saying you suck. An to let you all know I did ran a spell checker and it did not catch all the errors before I posted it. Also sorry for my grammer too. No one is perfice that inclueds me too.

Your web site is nothing more than roadkill on the "information superhighway"..........

You never lasted past the 1st round of the 3rd grade spelling bee did you? Let me help you out here.....
proffensional- "Professional"
realy - "really"
complants - "complaints"
choise - "choice"
freinds - "friends"
choises-"choices"

Its not the free hosting that makes it a sad and pathetic attempt at a web site, it's the total lack of education expressed by the individual that set it up. For Christ sakes, at least use Firefox and try to hide that fact that you can't spell simple words....

What are you six years old? If you are, I'll just let it all go and call it "cute."

As you can see. I never did hide fact that I can't spell. For your information I was in special ed classes. If you want to know my beginning of my education years sucked. From k - 5th grade alls the teachers did is put me in the back of the class and never paid attention to me. Just because I looked different from the others kids. The only pathetic person here on this web site is people like you. The ones who preys on other's mistake's. Stop being a jerk and start helping others with out being a smart ass about it. Do UN-too other like you want them to do apawn you.

P.S. A kind person e-mailed me a web browser spell checker. Thank you.. Now my posting should be a lot better for now on.

Jesus guys...give the guy a break....I mean we all had to start somewhere...

kc0vgj- Don't let anyone dissuade you from wanting to learn more about either the radio hobby or website design....my 1st website many years ago was a free Prodigy site with local Raleigh PD frequencies and not much else....it took me awhile to learn html/CSS/scripting etc and I am still learning more each day....
Good Luck with it and keep thinking positive!
Happy Monitoring!

Enough folks - Viking1 has been issued an infraction for his senseless attack on the OP.

Yea, and I'm closing this one for obvious reasons, not because I was asked either.
