Default Family sues construction company for tornado death

A family in Rogers, MN is suing a construction company, claiming that poor construction resulted in their daughters death during a tornado in 2006.

That was a sad night. I had the scanner going and was listening to the rescue effort. You could tell from the voices on the radio how desperately the firefighters were trying to get to her and get her out of the house.

It seems like they have some pretty strong evidence that there were negligent construction practices involved.

I just don't understand it. Don't these builders watch Modern Marvels:Engineering Disasters? It sucks that some people will flagrantly risk other peoples lives to save a buck.

Does that mean the relatives of the people that died on that bridge that fell down in MN have a case?

Why would that be silly? People were negligent, so innocent people died. Lawsuits should be expected...

I think he may have been sarcastically alluding to the "evasion of culpability" that seems to be swirling around that case currently.

You have me pegged; I would like to be less sarcastic, pessimistic, ironic, and sardonically inclined, but alas I am slipping into the abyss

I read somewhere that some "prominent" lawyer said that the only way you can win in the legal system is to not get involved in it.

What did it this time is that I just got off of jury duty & my usual prowess at never actually getting on a jury failed me--
