Default how to get weather alerts on my bct15
if i am just scanning my programmed freq will it be interrupted when a SAME or weather alert is issued? or do i have to be in the scan alert channel (162.5500 in my area)?

No SAME.

It can do weather alerts if you have it in weather priority mode though.
