Default What weather station to buy

I have had a Lacrosse station for a few years to get me up and going. Now I would like to upgrade to a better more reliable station. Does anyone have any recomondations on which brand and model and should I go wired or wireless. A good medium priced system.
thanks,
Paul

Thumbs up

We always had great luck with the Davis line of weather instrumentation.

Weather Instruments by Texas Weather Instruments, Inc.
I have had the Weather Report for over 10 years and love it.

The only recommendation I would make is if there is a choice between construction of the anemometer is the cup design is more bug/spider resistant than the fan in a shroud type. On the upper end of the price range the fan type might not be available.

Mine is roof located, but below the top of many trees on the property so it is always getting fouled be critters of the insect type.
