Does Anybody Make A Mobile Weather Alert Radio With GPS?

I was thinking it might be handy for truckers and others who are on the road constantly to have a mobile weather alert radio that would select frequencies based on GPS coordinates. Although SAME is nice, even the plain 1050 hZ would be okay for this application.

No, that'd be such a limited market it'd be a no-win.

Nope... All you need is a scanning radio with weather alert, a scanner, most of the newer amateur radio products. Sure you can't set SAME into them, but if your mobile over a large area you wouldn't want SAME anyway as you would have to have a huge list covering every county you might be in, etc.

Since there are only 7 frequencies, it takes almost no time to scan for a receivable frequency, so GPS wouldn't really be needed to select a frequency.

If you are in range to receive a NOAA site, that site will include alerts for where you are (this is true even when multiple sites are receivable; this does assume the antenna is on a vehicle and not a 1000' tower).
