Not sure whether to post this here or in the Skip / Tropo forum..

Is there some type of live radar that shows where temperature inversion is currently occurring? All my searches come up short.

One of my favorites is:

VHF Propagation Map

Easy to glance at for quick reference. Some of the maps can get a little crazy looking with all of the openings. Good Luck and hope this helps. - Charlie

Hear is a great one that I use for aviation

rucsoundings.noaa.gov

Enter your closest airport and will give you your temperature / dewpoint spread and you can easily tell by the graph if there is an inversion.

Weather radar will show tropo propagation at the radar's frequency.
Use a web site like Weather Underground that has an option to not hide ground clutter.
Big stationary blobs around the radar site are indications of tropo propagation.

Tropospheric Ducting Forecast for VHF & UHF Radio & TV has maps in 3 hour increments but it's not the same as live radar.

Thanks for the replies to all members!

i'm a fan of Weather Undeground and have my own PWS on there. Where would I find the option to not hide the ground clutter on the Wundermap?
