Just renewed. I do not get to spot much, right now, as I am generally staffing a station if bad weather is expected.

I do encourage all first responders to get the training, to know when it is time to take cover, vice a "That looks bad." response.

I've taken the classes a couple times and joined our local organization. The problem is, most of the people in our area now have taken no classes. They are a bunch of untrained Whackers. I basically stopped participating at all now.

Default Storm Spotters Using HF

I would be interested in connecting with other Storm Spotters who are interested in exploring both statewide and regional weather reporting. If interested please contact me at stonefly55@hotmail.com

First trained in 1990; I periodically take the Beginner and Follow up class just to remain current. Before NWS started teaching the Skywarn classes, I also assisted instructing the classes. Still active as time permits. You can see my photos at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mojave...57635003318056
