3925khz Radio Nikkei Japan with western style classic music. 1000 - 1020z Good signal, well over S9 but unfortunately lots of QRN this morning. Very little ham QRM. Inaudible on their 6055khz freq. That's a new one for me.

QRN? Was the signal fading in and out, or was it just noisy? I'm impressed you got a signal from Japan! I wish I'd been listening. (I actually was listening at around 10:00, but I didn't hit that band.)

QRN ... static crashes from stateside thunderstorms. Seemed like the signal was pretty steady and quite loud. I've got All India Radio on 9445 pretty good right now, seems like low absorption over the north pole continues. (Hint for tonight's DXing)

Thanks. I'm still learning the terms and how propogation works. I've got "the air gets charged and sometimes abosorbs and sometimes reflects radio waves" and "higher frequencies by day, lower ones by night", but the rest is still fuzzy.

Well, you've got it right!

I'll keep a running log tonight here: Shortwave Log Bulletin Board!

Looks like it's been quiet there on the Prop Logger, time to get some spots posted.

Anyone else? Post 'em there too ! Let's see what's being heard out there no matter how common or rare .... do you hear WWV? Post it! :^/

I caught Radio Prague at 0330-0357 U.T.C. in English to North America with my CC Radio SW. The signal was fare. My Sony ICF-SW55 could hardly pick it up. Even my CC Radio SWP picked up that station. WOW!

I picked up the Voice of Russia World Service at 0300 U.T.C. on 15425 kHz. A strong signal aimed at North America. At 1200 U.T.C I normally listen to the BBC aimed at Asia on 5875 kHz. It too is a strong signal. at 0100 U.T.C. I listen to Radio New Zealand International on 15720 kHz. All are good picks if you like variety of programs.

Ahh I see you are an avid C Crane customer how you like that CC radio? I get their catalog but I never bit-HRO won my heart. Radio Prague comes from a relay in Sacksville, Canada but still quite a DX from your locale!

You and I apparently have a window to Asia here on the west coast. You are the only one to my knowledge that has reported Asian DX besides me. Great catches

NICE DXs Jim. Havent caught North Korea that high up the bands-I catch them way low in the 2s and 9s-usually early morning.
