Been trying to work as much DX as I can on 40 meters while the sunspots are low. A useful beacon for me has been the Israeli armed forces station on 6973Khz. Comes in real well from before sunset east coast time almost all the time.

CQWW contest last weekend found me limited to a little over 5000 miles on 40 meters. I could hear VK very well by sunrise, and heard a lot of guys were working Japan but I could not hear them.
