Hi, The MFJ Antenna tuners are fine for that type of thing. They have SWL tuners for about $50. To use one hook it up to your radio go to the band you want to listen to. Turn the match knobs until you hear the most noise.

Sorry if I have the giggles reading that, I believe kilo means tune for strongest signals.
