Ripped from NorthKoreaTech.org's Blog.

Based on on-air announcements, this is the new schedule for English-language broadcasts that goes into effect on Sunday and will last for roughly the next six months.

All times are in UTC (GMT) and all frequencies in kilohertz.

A couple of the frequencies were difficult to make out, so I’ve included the alternative. In the next couple of days it will be possible to verify which is correct.

0400-0500 to North East Asia on 7220, 9445 and 9730
0400-0500 to Central and South America on 11735, 13750 (possibly 13760) and 15180
0500-0600 to South East Asia on 13650 and 15105
0600-0700 to North East Asia on 7220, 9445 and 9730
1000-1100 to South East Asia on 11735 and 13650
1000-1100 to Central and South America on 11710 and 15180
1300-1400 to Europe on 13750 and 15245
1300-1400 to North America on 9435 and 11710
1500-1600 to Europe on 13750 and 15245
1500-1600 to North America on 9435 and 11710
1600-1700 to Middle East and North Africa on 9890 and 11645 (possibly 11635)
1800-1900 to Europe on 13750 and 15245
1900-2000 to Middle East and North Africa on 9875 and 11645 (possibly 11635)
1900-2000 to Southern Africa on 7210 and 11910
2100-2200 to Europe on 13750 and 15245

Notes: Voice of Korea continues to suffer from problems that sometimes mean scheduled broadcasts don’t appear or transmissions stop mid-sentence. The schedule above is that announced for the English-language service.

Can this be heard in Massachusetts? I know it depends on what kind if setup and all. Just curious
. I have a shortwave receiver that I use. I'm not sure if its USB or lsb capable? I have a Drake sw1 I think it is.

If propagation is favorable, and you have a good enough antenna...yes, assuming they actually transmit when they say they do. Much like the military noise they've been throwing out lately, their broadcast sked is 'slippery' at best - as noted, sometimes they really are there, sometimes not. Remember to take the daylight/darkness pattern into account.

Listening in USB is a very good way to detect a weak signal - the actual signal is AM, of course, and how good the audio is, well, let's not hold our collective breaths...Mike

I've never gotten Voice of Korea in to where I could actually listen to the program here in South Carolina. They do have a website up now that plays clips and it's "different" and "informative" for lack of better words.

VOK transmits in AM mode (Preferred mode of dear leader )

I've picked it up here in California, although they seem to have power problems and it fades in and out sometimes.

They're kinda like your crazy drunk uncle you keep away from the kids, sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't, sometimes they're late and sometimes they show up and you can barely understand what they say.

Just reading the KCNA "news" articles is interesting.

For those of us west of the Mississippi, our best bet are those aimed at North or South America. I've had excellent signals on 15,180khz on the 0400z transmission.

0400-0500 to Central and South America on 11735, 13750 (possibly 13760) and 15180

Wirelessly posted (Moto Droid Bionic: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; en-us; DROID BIONIC Build/6.7.2-223_DBN_M4-23) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/534.30)

For me in NJ, the best time to hear the DPRK is in the morning circa sunrise. Most likely 25 and 31 m frequencies are the most likely to be heard. HTH.

I've had a great copy here in Virginia for a couple days, a few years ago around 5am local time. Haven't been able to copy in the last couple years, so it is, in a sense, doable.
Depends on propagation. Just keep trying.

North Korea? This has got to be good. They're probably telling all their troops marching around that they'll be marching through the streets of Washington DC soon. Of course their bosses know there's more chance of them all being turned to orange dust.

Then again, any English broadcasts would not be meant for Koreans. How many Koreans speak English but not Korean?

A far bit of QSB but a S8 at times here in Australia

Today 4/7/13.....1000 UTC . "Voice of Korea" Great english signal to the east coast of the USA.
Best copy on 11710 am (s9 + 10), although I tuned USB to clean up the noise and also11735 am (s7 - s8). Clean signal with minimal fading, you have to try to catch them near the grey line. In fact as I write this (1100 hrs) they just came back on in French. Still a loud signal.
A lot on propaganda on the nuclear situation. Very anti american or as they say imperialists.
Very interesting, like the old days with the soviet block broadcasts.
Asia is booming in!
Now if I can only catch Papua New Guinea.
Or Mongolia in English.
