Quite a few times when I listen to the various XSL "Slot Machine" frequencies I hear some kind of competing digital signal, some of which seem to be right on top of it. Mostly RTTY, sometimes something else.

Currently, at 1057z, at about 4232 kHz I've got 850 Hz RTTY just slamming in over the top of XSL.

It seems to me that this is happening more and more frequently. Am I correct in that?

I suspect you are just noticing it more, not that it is happening more. Let me put it this way, there has been 850 Hz shift FSK on or near that frequency in operation longer than XSL has existed. I have logs of FSK on that frequency going back more than 6 years, and I see that the UDXF and WUNClub have logs going back before 2000. I think the Slot Machine showed up in about 2001 or so?
