Vladivostok,Russian beacon? 5959 miles from me!?

Using a Par EF tossed out mostly on the ground and slightly in a tree. Getting backing to hearing what I can hear after a long absence...

What makes you think it's Vladivistok? The only thing I hear on 8423kHz is the Greek shipyard beacon SVO that has been going for years.

Checking the UDXF logs, the last time 8423 was reported to be Vladivostok was in 2012. More recently it's been noted as a number station F11 running a FSK 100/625 mode.

As such, I'm moving this to our digital forum...Mike

That's WLO Mobile Alabama running their CW marker and SITOR burst free signal.
