Suwannee County??

Does any one know if Suwannee County installed a new 800mhz system?

I saw a sheriff patrol car that had a small 800mhz antenna installed and it looked as if the VHF whip was gone.

I know live oak is still on VHF.


Any one have any info on this.

no i dont see them going to 800 anytime in near future. all comms for SO and EMS and Fire still on the vhf / uhf channels.

and as far as i know no such system is in place or going in place. the voter system works great.

Roger that it must have been a short VHF/UHF antenna.
