Can anybody tell me the correct talk groups for fire in this county? The talk groups on RR are vague and i`m hearing things that i shouldnt be.

Which scanner and programming software are you using? I have pretty detailed files for both Sarasota and Manatee Counties. How about updating the database for everyone's benefit? I travel through Manatee on I-75 occasionally and have noticed errors in the db, but obviously can't confirm everything I hear in that short timeframe.

I have GRE. If you could send me a file i have no problem hand programming thats half of the fun. I just notice they dont use " tac channels" they say respond on grp 27 , 16 , 15 ect. If you could give me fire only talk grps with the grp numbers. that would be a big help.
You can use RR data base for fire departments, TG 04-041 to 04-053, 10-060 & 10-063 for Longboat and 10-041 to 10-045 for Bradenton. EMS talk groups are fine from RR base.

I think what he was actually looking for was the actual Group # associated with each EDACS Group ID #, as in Group 11, Group 16, Group 25, etc.
04-041 Grp 21 FD Dispatch, 04-042- Grp 22, 04-043 Grp 23, 04-044 Grp 24, 04-045 Grp 25

These are what I'm using for Fire/EMS in my area. Much of it is in the RR database. The ID tags are of my own editing and seem to let me follow radio traffic pretty thoroughly. Can't really think of any calls that I seem to miss. The Sarasota IDs that simply say "Fire Dept" never seem to be active and may simply be for "future use". "W/A" = Wide Area

Attached are my FreeScan files that I use for Manatee County. The first file is for the County's EDACS Public Safety System.
The second file is called "Manasota-Conventional" and is the conventional frequencies that I monitor in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Two of the groups are names "Config. 1" and "Config. 2" respectively. "Config. 2" is a scaled down version of "Config. 1", containing what I see as the more interesting of those frqs. contained in "Config 1". Thus, it is only neccesary to activate one or the other when scanning, depending on how much routine chatter you want to put up with.
Alpha tags on the EDACS system are as accurate and complete as I've been able to figure out so far but, any corrections or additions are most welcome.

This seems to be 3 years old but the most recent info on the channels for Manatee and Sarasota i can find. The DB seems to be lacking in fine details like this. Listening to Fire Calls in these areas seems to be tricky at best with the DB download.

From my close reliable sources the whole system is in the process of being upgraded to a P-25 system. I have not heard whether encryption will be used.
