Error Message

When I open up Scanner Cast I get the following error message in a box:

K1PGV's ScannerCast RR Editition
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue the application will ignor this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Could not load file or assembly 'lstrib.Sound.Mp3, Version=1.0.0.0.,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The
system cannot find the file specified.

Can anyone help PLEASE!

You've not installed ScannerCast correctly... it can't find one of the .DLL files from the ZIP archive.

On your system, create a folder for your installation... call it "ScannerCast" -- Next, download the ZIP from RR, open the .ZIP archive, AND COPY ALL THE FILES that are in the ZIP archive to the ScannerCast directory. There should be EIGHT files.

Then, close the ZIP archive. And run ScannerCast.exe from the ScannerCast folder.

Used to work

I have the same problem. However, the program worked fine for 2 months & now the error message. I reinstalled the software.

I only get the error when I put ScannerCast in my startup folder. If I restart Windows & then manually run ScannerCoast, no problem.

I restart Windows automatically each night because after a number of days the system will hang.
