What are some of the most popular repeaters between Chattanooga & Nashville ? Got a road trip coming up next month, and know there are alot of frequencies, but would like to have the most common, so my radio isn't full of unused repeaters:D

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. Btw, the 146.910 got a new Kenwood repeater and is now running @ 120 watts, and getting a great footprint across the state. The repeater owners said that it is the most power ever ran out of it yet.

145.450- PL 127.3 Bonnaroo Repeater

The 145.450- PL127.3 seems to have great coverage up and down the I-24 from jasper to nashville and from lawrenceburg,tn thru columbia, all the way to bonnaroo. I know this is a late reply. also the 444.075+ pl127.3 which is part of the mtears system in the event there is bad weather the during bonnaroo. The 145.450- PL127.3 is the local county wx repeater

Yeah, I am on 145.450 quite often and 146.910, and 146.820. I am looking for up around the Nashville area, but I found some.

145.450 and 444.075 are both owned and ran by Brent, KF4TNP and both on the same tower on the Coffee/Grundy county line near Deer Run.

Unfortunatly, the only time MTEARS is used is when severe weather is going on or other emergencies. I know that this is what the system is made for, but would be nice to have more normal ham activity on it.

The Short Mountain Repeater is 146.910 with negative shift (input 146.310). There is usually no PL tone, but on the rare occasion it is on (if there is interference) the PL is 114.8. It is an open repeater so drop by. There's also an information net on Tuesdays at 8pm and Traders Net on Thursdays at 9pm.

Its got a nice large footprint. So its great for trips. :)
I'm usually around so say hi, there's almost always someone to talk to.
