I drove through Belchertown, MA yesterday and the HP-1 started picking up the PD on 155.37 MHz but the modulation seemed a little low. Does anyone know if Belchertown has completed the conversion to narrow band on their system? If so, we need to submit that change so scanners with a NFM setting can get the appropriate audio levels from these systems.

If anyone can verify that they've gone to narrow band then either that person or myself can submit it to RR but I couldn't stick around long enough to try it yesterday. Besided, I didn't have my Pro-106 with me - just the HomePatrol (which cannot be changed in the field without a PC and software).

Every system operating below 470.000 Mhz had to complete narrow banding before 1/1/2013. Even many systems operating in the 470-512 band completed the process before the FCC decided to grant waivers for that.

I have no idea what Central190 is saying since his keyboard apparently has no Shift key or punctuation keys.

Gary, you might have missed it but the OP posted in 2011 and the thread was dormant till 190 woke it up

I did miss it. A severe case of thread resurrection!

Why don't you try it yourself. Listen to all of those frequencies and report back with what you hear.
