Not really scanner related, but most scanner/ham types like to see inside equipment shacks. I noticed some guys installing a new dish and they let me photograph the inside of the AT&T cellular shack. Hey, it's geek porn. The site is along route 93 in Nevada, a bit north of I-15.

The new dish points to an empty tower.

I was a bit surprised to see they use GSM 1900 in a rural area, especially wit all the L-band signals used by Nellis for their ACMI (or whatever they renamed it).

Let me know if you need higher resolution on any of the photos.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.3; en-us; DROIDX Build/4.5.1_57_DX5-35) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Thanks. I love looking at stuff like that. Wish I knew what all it did (and I mean each specific part. I know it allows you to make phone calls!).

Looks great. Cleanest DSX panel I've seen. I can tell young folks did the installs, they use cable ties instead of lacing the cables. Thanks for the post, but it makes me want to go back to work seeing all of that.

I changed web servers and hot linking is blocked, hence the old links in the post won't work. So I put all the photos on one page so that they could be displayed using the link above. Otherwise nothing new here.

Actually AT&T added a two more sites along the road. There is LTE clear to Alamo NV. Oh, and no Tmobile roaming on this lovely network, no matter how many times I asked.
