I was wondering what kinds of things I would need to do utilize in order to reverse engineer the scanner as to see what kinds of activity runs on the serial port and how to interpret it and create an application that works remotely over the net...
If I could get the first prototypes within a month on a jailbroken iphone, then tested, perhaps I could get the licensing needed and try to sell it legitimately via iTunes.
I just want to see how tall a task this would be and get input from other engineers/programmers who have attempted/tried it before.
