Here are a few pictures of my truck. My equipment consist of a Yeasu FT-7800R w/ separation kit, GRE PRO-163, Cobra 75 WXST (Not Currently Installed), Apple iPhone 4 w/ RadarScope. I'm looking for a laptop mount or an iPad mount for larger radar images while out and about. Thanks for looking at my mobile setup. Let me know what you think.

Looks like a very professional install. Keep up the good work. How is your call sign displayed on the Iphone?

Awesome setup. Love the idea of where the scanner is mounted. I'd do the same but my 02 Trailblazer has that big Onstar/Memo console there.

Through SpotterNetwork. The app RadarScope is integrated with SpotterNetwork and can display the information from there.

@kjf - thanks for the compliments. It's still a work in progress, but we'll get it there slowly.

Thanks TW. I tried to mount the remote head on that little ledge that we talked about in our vehicles, however, the adhesive would not bond to that ledge. It would only bond on the ledge above the vents there.

Is that mirror OK to be there? It looks like it's 3" above the Yaesu! (I'm not gonna' go on if it's legal or not)
And you posted: GRE PRO-163 Even though they both look alike, they're different.

If you look at the first photo, you'd see that the mirror is not 3 inches from the radio. Also, your "not gonna go into if it's legal or not" is laughable. You stated the same thing about my "blue" lights.

RoIn, I'm not sure if I want to go with the laptop setup or the iPad setup. I use GRLevel3 for windows and RadarScope for iPhone and iPad. Im not much of a chaser, but I like to look at the radar while spotting. Idk, just really don't which path to take.

I will take some antenna shots when I get the CB antenna up and installed. I'm trying to find a good NMO mount style CB antenna manufactured by Wilson or Larsen. Just hadn't ordered it yet.

I have a RAM laptop cradle and mounting bracket for a 2006 Trailblazer. Is that what you're looking for?

I meant pics of this..... (If you don't want it)

Nice! When you take pictures, can you please take more pictures of the mounting & different angles of the scanner. Giving me idea for my TB.

I will take some tomorrow. It's pretty easy to install. I have the poly loom ran up in the headliner, down the "A" pillar and to the firewall for the power wire. If your TB is setup like mine (w/o the Information Console), you just need to be cautious of the wires that power the map lights.

Really diggin how you've got the scanner above the mirror !

Thanks for the compliment. It really makes it easily accessible and there is no need for the use of an external speaker. There is no visibility blockage whatsoever and I still have full use of my mirror and sun visors. I'm trying to figure out a way to fabricate a mount for my video camera using the same bracket as my scanner mount. I know I will need an extension of some kind.
