Real nice truck! I wonder tho if the top of the dash is good for the scanner-too much sun?
Nice Truck! I'd like to know more about that camera. Also those two red switches by the ebrake?
Nice setup and cool looking truck.Welcome to Radio Reference.
Do I see navy base stickers on the windshield?
Which camera? The red switch on the left is my master power that controls the switch bank and accessories through out the vehicle... I have had too many dead batteries to trust the ignition switch... The yellow switch is for the beacon out back on the tool box.
Hello jurrd87 and welcome aboard! That's one "monster truck"! Pretty impressive set up. What I'm not seeing is an antenna or two on it...or maybe my bad eyes can't focus. Nice job, and thanks for sharing with us.
Also, thanks for your service, Marine.

It's a nice truck, and I like it except for one thing...It's TOO NEW!!!
If you did this with a 57' dodge powerwagon, or perhaps a mercedes Uni-mog then it would truly be a killer!! 1.5 ton version with 4 ton 12vdc winch with manual control, front AND rear. Dual 150 amp delco alternators with separate cut-off switches.
In a post-apocalyptic world you would NOT want electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition or ANY on board computers. No power windows, door locks or A/C. A full oil/ trans cooler would be a must!Exterior spot and driving lights need to be grilled 150 watt OFF road unity's fed with 8 awg. multi strand belden. Window glass needs to be quartr inch wire mesh, FULL solid tube interior roll bar, gas-welded to the frame!! ALL antennas need to be hard mounted to the roof or body with reinforced steel gussets. All your radio comms would be shock mounted tube transmitters. Tires would be general brand solid rubber and engine would be a naturally aspirated, 454 v8 full block with dana gears and all this would just be for starters!
...Just pickin at ya. It's a nice ride!
Oh yeah...rhino bumpers are ok,lol!

Sorry, meant the OnBoard dash camera.
That is a very cool installation and the truck as a whole just rocks. I have to ask though, how do you use all that? What does it allow you to do in actual use? Is it distracting as you drive?
I find myself overly distracted with a car radio and a 2 meter HT - I'd be afraid I couldn't harness the dicipline to drive with all that shiny stuff demanding my attention. What does having all that allow you to accomplish?
And lest anyone question, I ask out of genuine curiosity not snarkiness.
Rock on...
Wow
I call dibs!!
What did you use for the pics?
What do you do for work that you've got the personal vehicle AND downtime?
