For those with scanners the following analog statewide Event talkgroups on VIPER will be used for this years NC State Fair:
Statewide Events Alpha 1 (TG 784) = Entry/Exit Points and Patrol
Statewide Events Alpha 2 (TG 816) = Event Channel
Statewide Events Alpha 3 (TG 848) = Dorton Arena
Statewide Events Alpha 4 (TG 880) = Fire/EMS/Red Cross
Statewide Events Bravo 1 (TG 912) = LE Traffic Ops
Here is a copy of a traffic "post" map from years past. I believe it should be pretty accurate for this year as well.

Edit: Here is an NC State Fair Uniden HomePatrol HP-1 "hpe" file to import into Sentinel:
http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCFair/2012/2012%20NC%20State%20Fair.hpe
The file includes all of the analog/digital statewide events talkgroups with the majority "avoided" (locked out) except for
the ones listed above that will be in use. The only tower site not "avoided" (locked out) is the Wake County Simulcast. Which
means if you are trying to monitor outside of Wake County/Central NC you will need to go into Sentinel and un-avoid the sites nearest
you.
Another Edit: here is a Freescan file for use with Uniden XT Scanners:
http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCFair/2012/2012%20NC%20Fair%20Freescan.996
And a link to the Live Audio Feed of the Fair provided by K4OC:
NC State Fair Live Scanner Audio Feed
And
NC State Fair
If I get time I might cobble together other software files as time permits.
All you should need is an analog trunking scanner to be able to monitor the above.
Have fun and be safe!
