Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on at 250 W 57th St in Manhattan? I turned on FDNY Manhattan Dispatch and heard them calling a 10-60 with several units. I know 10-60 is a Major Incident, just would like to know what's going on. I know theirs several big incidents going on with a lot of power outages due to the storm. I think it might be a collapse of some sort.

IDK about W 57th but I heard Manhattan put out a building collapse on 8th Ave.

It is a crane collapse at a high rise construction on W57. The crane boom is dangling and may come down so they are evacuating the area.

Also a building facade collapse in Chelsea area.

I've heard of a couple scaffolding collapses. Their also reporting anywhere from 12-36inches of water on the streets.

According to The Weather Channel, Battery Park in Southern Manhattan is under a record breaking 11.25Ft of water. ConEd is also shutting down power to many zones to protect the grid (including parts of Manhattan) and some fire stations will be without power. Also a couple FDNY EMS stations have evacuated.

According to the New York Transit Authority, all tunnels out of Manhattan have been closed. In Lower Manhattan, Battery Park is now currently under 13.5 ft of water. Several Manhattan Fire Companies have been relocated due to flooding and power outages.

If no one minds, I'm gonna keep updating this with information I'm gathering on Manhattan. According to BBC NY and MTA Subways are flooding and much of Lower Manhattan have now power from 14th St and Wall St South. New York state director of operations Howard Glaser, who appears to be driving around lower Manhattan with Governor Andrew Cuomo, tweets:" Seawater is rushing into the Battery Tunnel."

Their are now reports of up to 3ft of water covering the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

The crane collapse occurred on top of what will be the tallest apartment building in Manhattan. The networks carried live shots of the collapse tonight, Monday. The unit appears to have bent its major structural supports due to high winds. Due to those high winds it was announced that they won't be able to secure the boom until the winds abate.

Rescue 1 enroute to a possible crane collapse in Manhattan. Also an FDNY Battalion Chief reporting East River flooding over the wall. CNN and local News Media confirm NYSE flooded.

Between 5th an 6th st a crane collapsed and swinging from the building. Box is transmitted 10-75 of a 13 story building.

Engine companies report no crane collapse, it is made to swivel. NYSE denying media reports of flooding. Mayor Bloomberg stating that water will start to recede in a few hours.
