Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has a listing for the UHF MED channels as they are used in the Knoxville area. I know the frequencies, just trying to find a list of the PL/DPL's in use on each and what the use of the channel is (a specific agency/hospital, etc)

Thanks for any info.

Pro Med EMS was in Knox Co too but again I'm not sure now.

These are all a list of possibles that I know of. Sometimes you can look on their websites and see the numbers on the fire engines or on the actual truck. Hope this helps you some.

The RM unit numbers for their fire apparatus is 2XX with the last 2 numbers being station numbers. Example: Engine 211 is the Engine from station 11. One station to add is Station #14 on Watt Rd. (Not sure of the address.). Some stations have other trucks than engines, so you might hear Ladder 2XX or Rescue 2XX or Haz-Mat 2XX.

I've seen ProMed, First Call and Priority EMS all in Knox County. I know Priority is primary EMS in Loudon County and they use 20 unit numbers in Loudon Co., so they may also be heard, especially on the Med Com channels. Not sure of the others not already identified.

EMS 100's are our admins, local management.
Medic 700/701 is an ALS ambulance with a supervisor on board
EMS 500 is our on duty shift supervisor who is in their own response vehicle

At some point in 2015, RM divided the far west stations into a separate battalion (I guess that's the right term).

- Station 11 (160 Campbell Station Road) is now station 41. I think this station houses Engine 241, Medic 241, and Squad 241
- Station 14 (201 N Watt Rd) is now station 44 (Engine 244). KVRS Rescue 124 also runs out of this house.
- Station 42 (1712 Choto Markets Way) opened in Sept 2015 (Engine 242)
