will the 15x pick up analog Motorola II systems without them being pre-programmed as long as youve told the radio what state your in and let it do its thing?

The BCT15X does have pre-programmed systems by state. Your system may be in there, however that radio was first released in August 2009 so the information is probably outdated. If your system is not already in there and up-to-date you will need to program that system into the radio.

I dont know of -any- analog systems the 15X cannot scan. I got 1. Great scanner.
