Does Anybody have a list of the new Bexar County Fire Alarm - Pager Tone-Outs ?
I am pretty sure that this list below in the Bexar Co WIKI is very old - would love to update this info.
In addition it would be helpfull to list the "station numbers" as dispatches no longer say dept names !

I am also curious if the 996 can be in scan mode AND scan for Tone-Outs at the same time ?

BEXAR COUNTY FIRE MARSHAL

That page is for the fire marshal, and it has a large countywide district map, as well as each fire department and what, if any, ESD they are affiliated with. Still looking for something with station numbers though.

No, but I would love to get some updates ones. Since I live south of Helotes in the ESD7 area, I would like to tone-mute a scanner for Helotes. I don't even have a tone capable 396 right now, but if there is a cheaper one out there, especially one that can detect tones and display them, let me know so I can purchase it.

ps ~ After strapping to me a BCD-396XT in Tone-Out Search Mode for a week I am pretty bummed out
by the mixed results and constantly variable tone data I recorded on paper - it seems that reception
plays a very important role in getting accurate tone out data. Other than quit my job and stay up for
weeks on end, does anyone have any big bright ideas on how to formulate and accurate list for BCFA ?
Oh wait, I know, someone in the know will make a list magically appear so all members will benefit right ? :)
It's not like it's classified information. One could make a complete list given LOTS of painfull time spent doing it !
Ah think about ... all the Uniden T and XT owners could simply program FTO's if they so chose to do so for their area ;)

btw ~ If anyone spots any inaccurate tones ? Please Help ! You won't hurt my feelings any if you spot errors or have tones to add !!!
These damn tones read different 3 times out of 3 and no way can I go camp out under the BCFA antenna tower ~ not practical grrrrrrr :(

Questions:
What about this missing dept I heard dispatched a few months ago for a chemical spill road accident.
BCFA "Station # 155 WMD" Tone A = 1679.7 ish Tone B = 1685.8 ish ( these are the tones I captured)
What does " WMD" stand for ? How about a bad guess of "Weapons of Mass Destruction" ? Anybody ?
Is Dorian- BCFA Dispatch 1644 your 1st name and ID ? Lastly, is this list complete and accurate ?

btw ~ This pager tones list with station #'s, ESD group members and full spellings would be nice in Bexar Co WIKI :)

Im sure we can compile some data together. Here is my website with the quadrants
Quad Map - The New FireGuyIT Services Page

The WMD teams aka Hazmat teams have a specific tone set that will take some digging however you are correct in that Weapons of Mass Destruction is the WMD team.. we at dispatch call it Bexar County Hazmat.
My First Name is Dorian
My call sign is 1644
I'm one of the dispatchers for BCFA Fire Alarm so I hope that list is accurate :)

I grabbed a few Motorola Minitor IV SV's off ebay for $56 w/free programming and shipping today.
Now for the $56 dollar question ... does anybody know or think they know when the BCFA
Bexar County Fire Alarm will try again to migrate 154.2500 to narrow band for fire tone-out pagers ?

My understanding is that once before they tried to go to narrow band operation and the results
were NOT good and reliable for various reasons so they switched back to wide band operation.
I suspect that probably not every dept has narrow band capable pagers and 2-way radios yet ?
Is this a true story, anybody know ... anybody .... crickets :)

Der haz to bee some-bunny dat knows da true and exact deal ?
I'll consider guesses but prefer the facts, "just the facts ma'am" ;)
(Hmm, wasn't that Sgt Fridays line in that Adam-12 TV show in the 70's ? )

PS~Bonus points if some knows for example if these listed tones are accurate
or have been rounded off as a Minitor programmer said some of these tones are invalid, etc.

Example that comes to mind:
BCFA- St Hedwig VFD pager tone-out tones:

St. Hedwig VFD listed as A=1321.0 B=458.0

The legitimate Motorola tones are 1321.2 + 457.9 ( thoughts & ideas ? )

I captured and use successfully 1357.1 + 457.9. ( which tones seem right ? )

This is how I am having these pagers modes programmed with BCFA Disp and Tac-3 :

A) 154.2500 Selective call (your pager codes) tone alert
B) 154.2500 Monitor all radio traffic on frequency plus tone alert for your tones
C) 154.2500 Selective call (your pager codes) vibrate alert
D) 153.7700 Monitor all radio traffic on frequency

Thanks for reading this far and I appreciate your thoughts and advice in this matter !!!

Hello again Dorian,
Is it true that only 2 of the planned 4 WMD / Hazmat response units are actually in place at this time ?
If I recall these are BCFA station # 155 and #156 ? Does Bexar Bulverde Station #103 host #155 ?

BCFA Station # 155 WMD Tone A = 1679.7 ish Tone B = 1685.8 ish ( these are the tones I captured)
BCFA Station #156 WMD Tones ? (Questions=what dept does S#156 and what are the tone-outs ?)
