Call Letters on TV Shows

After reading the previous post on "Errors on Dragnet", I ve paid more attention on tv shows and noticed that subliminal you can catch Call Letters on numerous tv shows. Ones Iv heard:...world famous KMG365 on EMERGENCY ( I still remember this when the show was first on tv)...KMA367 on ADAM-12 ( neat shot of call letters and freq numbers on radio)...KMA628 on PERRY MASON, I heard three letters and two numberson another episode but did not write it down.

Here yea go, what I found:

KMA367 - LOS ANGELES, CITY OF

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KMA367 - LOS ANGELES, CITY OF

KMG365 - LOS ANGELES, COUNTY OF

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - KMG365 - LOS ANGELES, COUNTY OF

KMA628

Nothing

KMA628 is/was the L.A. County Sheriff

A lot of times in these shows, they'll just refer to the dispatcher as "KMA".

LAPD still uses "KMA" on the air in place of "roger", 'over", etc.

Heard the dispatcher talk to Squad 51 on EMERGENCY use KMG941 today

The old 3X2 callsigns were for repeaters, such as the WBB95 one that appeared for years on the Scanner Master listings in Westchester County NY.
