While surfing the Web, I came across this RFP to upgrade the Pugent Sound Emergency Radio Network. This makes for some interesting reading to say the least. More information is available at the King County Web Site.

Is Seattle going digital?
Any updates?
Update on the South Sound 9-1-1 network. It's Phase 1 (not Phase 2 as previously thought). I can (barely) get a control signal on 774.70625.

774.70625 is West Seattle which I am barely getting, and I imagine that they'll replace them county by county and integrate it into the radio network. Like what they did in Kansas City.
