Oak Hill CC licensed frequencies are: 452.800 457.800 819.2375 and 819.2875. These are simplex low power frequencies and probably you wont hear anything unless very close to the course. I am only about 2 miles away and have never heard anything.

There will be a lot of active broadcast auxillary channels 450-451 and 455-456 while the event is being broadcast but these are also low power and can be heard only within a mile or so of the course.

There will probably be associated public safety activity on the Monroe County law TAC & Towns North channels, Fire Channel 3 and Fire/ EMS Battalion 3 and Inter Battalion Ops channels plus EMS 175 and EMS 280. I heard some testing yesterday on 155.3925 "OPS6" Inter Battalion channel that may be realted to the PGA. They mentioned also using the EMS "Event" frequency but it was not clear if that is 175 or 280.

If you will be at the event, scanners are prohibited:

Quite a few of my old gang will be there running communications throughout the week. They use this little beauty as their headquarters:

The PGA has a contract with a radio vendor that has been using TRBO repeaters at most PGA events.
They were in the 451.xxxx MHz range on splinter freqs when we hosted a large PGA event earlier this year.
12 repeaters total for 24 channels and they were not using basic privacy so one could use DSD to monitor everything.

I carried a radio but I also setup DSD for my co-workers and it worked very well. The catering ops also used UHF radios supplied by the radio vendor but they were on a standard analog repeater but still in the same 451.xxxx range.

They send a sniffer radio out well before the event and use that to make sure the temp frequencies they select for an area are not in use locally.
It was basically a scanner hooked to a computer that searched between upper and lower limits and logged signal with signal strength. With that data and actual FCC license data, they determine what frequencies they can use for the low power TRBO repeaters. Seemed crude but it did work well as most of the repeaters used are only used during event week.
The exception is the ops channel used for setup and a vendor channel. In our case, ops and vendors shared the same repeater but different time slots for two channels. The security staff used the vendor channel pre and post event week but had their own channel during event week.
That repeater was setup a month or two before the event and remained for a month after so the equipment vendors and PGA ops staff had communications before and after the event.

If you are interested in listening to the medial coverage at the PGA Championship, be sure and check out the 476.0000 MHz area of the "T" band, as there are quite a few channels in use there for communications by CBS and the international broadcasters at the event.

WPSE606 has a special condition prohibiting operation north of Line A which means it can not legally be used in Rochester.

That restriction also appplies to KD52446 but there is an exception for the 20 "Location 2" frequencies which can be used in a 121KM radius of Buffalo NY which would include Rochester.

Those would be the most likely to be active since they are specifically authorized for use in this area.
