It's time again for the NC State Fair!

For those with scanners the following analog statewide Event talkgroups on VIPER will be used for this years NC State Fair:

Statewide Events Alpha 1 (TG 784) = LE Patrols
Statewide Events Alpha 2 (TG 816) = Major Events Channel
Statewide Events Alpha 3 (TG 848) = Dorton Arena
Statewide Events Alpha 4 (TG 880) = Fire/EMS/Red Cross
Statewide Events Bravo 1 (TG 912) = LE Traffic Control

Here is a copy of a traffic "post" map from years past. I believe it should be pretty accurate for this year as well.
http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCFair/NCSHPStateFairPost.pdf

Edit: Here is an NC State Fair Uniden HomePatrol HP-1 "hpe" file to import into Sentinel:
http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCFair/2012/2012 NC State Fair.hpe
The file includes all of the analog/digital statewide events talkgroups with the majority "avoided" (locked out) except for
the ones listed above that will be in use. The only tower site not "avoided" (locked out) is the Wake County Simulcast. Which
means if you are trying to monitor outside of Wake County/Central NC you will need to go into Sentinel and un-avoid the sites nearest
you. Don't worry about the 2012 label...talkgroups should be the same from last year.

Another Edit: here is a Freescan file for use with Uniden XT Scanners:
http://qsl.net/ke4znr/NCFair/2012/2012 NC Fair Freescan.996
Again don't worry about the 2012 label...talkgroups should be the same from last year.

Any updates/corrections please email KE4ZNR@radioreference.com.
Thanks and Have a good time at the Fair!

2016 NC State Fair

It's that time of the year again, the NC State Fair has begun. I will be changing my RDU feed on Broadcastify in the next day to include the VIPER/Wake fair channels, I'm just waiting for confirmation of channels being used. At this point it appears the following channels are in use:

VIPER
Hotel 3 Traffic
Echo 2 EMS/FIRE/Red Cross
Echo 1 Interior LE

Wake Co System
W Event 5A Fair Ops

Thanks for the Fair freqs!
Are the digital Events channels ever used?

The talkgroups N1GAW listed above ARE the VIPER digital Statewide Event Talkgroups:

Echo 1= LE/Gates
Echo 2= FD/EMS
Echo 3=Dorton Arena
Hotel 2= incident Response
Hotel 3= SHP Traffic Posts

And on the separate Wake County System:
Wake Event 5A=Fairgrounds Staff

Marshall -
I think he is referring to the Talkgroup IDs as listed Downloads / freescan files from 2012 (Pre 7.x P25 conversion) on the first of the thread (Granted...this original thread post IS from 2013!)

Probably might split to another thread to avoid confusion!

Sorry for the confusion. I saw the thread at the top of the Forum page so I assumed it was new.
I am referring to the .hpe file. There are many digital freqs that are all avoided. I was just wondering if they are ever used and when.

Those files are from 3 years ago. Don't want to use those files as they are obviously outdated. :)

Gonna lock this thread to prevent further confusion.
One of y'all create a new "2016 NC State Fair" thread and I will sticky it for the duration of the fair.
Thanks
