Edwards AFB Upgraded radio system

Edwards AFB upgraded I think to Motorola Smartzone 7 and now my BCD996XT will not pick up any traffic.
Does anybody have a update to the data base. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum,

Any update since yesterday?

If Edwards AFB upgraded the system.
Try searching in the 406-420 , 380-400 , 138-144 , 148.150.8 band for any new trunked system.

Are you hearing anything from the C007 system? Control Channel Data/Voice?
Is your BCD996XT displaying any P25 NAC tones on any of the voice freqs?

If the new system is P25 trunked radio system.
You can use your BCD996XT scanner with Pro96com software to get more details on the system.

Data is heard on original Control Channels . No I do not hear anything on C007. still searching.

Program it just as you would for the old system except tell the scanner it's P25 trunking.

Thank you WaneH... Set scanner to P25 One Freq Trunk and now I can here some traffic, sounds like Maint Cont, Fire Dept and that's all for now.

I was out there a few weeks ago and my BCD396XT was tracking fine, just not much radio traffic.

Looks like they switched to the
United States Air Force (BEE00-157) Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

Drove through today. and submitted to teh db

I don't have enough time, to properly ID TGs usually.
I was parked at the Loves in Tehachapi for only an hour or so..

I also don't know a lot about Army/Air Force Operations to ID most of the TGs.
Besides the Obvious ones. (MP/Fire/EMS). Which may or may not be encrypted anyway.

If you or somebody else can find out the Location of the Sites that would be great also.
I can't get on the base(s) anyway.
No ID card anymore. Besides they prolly wouldn't let me on with an 18 Wheeler, unless I had a delivery there.

Had a doctors appointment in Lancaster this morning so I was able to monitor the system for a little bit and take some notes. I have to go back again next Monday, when I do I will try to gather more info.

For what it's worth, I was on the base last week. I did not have a scanner, but I did get the hint that there were radio issues. Also, here are the radios I saw.

Mostly XTS5000 M2s. Some M3s. I also saw a few XTS 2500s. All M3. MP cars have XTL 5000s in them.

Interestingly, the gate MPs had Analog Sabers. They did have crypto modules though. So either they were just temporary because of TRS issues, or there is still at least some analog conventional traffic.

Powderman247, what site were you listening to when you heard TG 50023? Ive found with the Edwards system unless I have 5 bars it doesn't demodulate properly.
