Usually the first field of LTR Logger displays a single LCN, such as "LCN=02". However, sometimes it will show 2 "alternative" LCN's, like this:

"LCN=02 or 03, Free=None, Talkgroup 0-02-087 Transmitting on LCN 03"

Does anyone know how to properly interpret "LCN=02 or 03"? Is this a software bug, or ???

LTR is a relatively primitive protocol. There are situations where the data transmitted at a given point does not uniquely identify the current LCN. When LTRLogger displays "or" then it is not possible to conclusively determine the LCN from the data being transmitted. If you continue to monitor the channel you should eventually see a conclusive identification of the LCN.

If you're really curious about this you can read the LTR protocol specifications. Specifically you need to understand the data transmitted in the Outbound Signaling Message (OSM) which is what is being decoded into each line of output displayed by LTRLogger. The information available in each OSM is Area, Go To Repeater, Home Repeater, Group ID and Free Repeater.

Okay cool, that's what I figured. I'm familiar with the LTR protocol specs, and your program has proved invaluable for tracking numerous LTR systems...:)
