Actually, the radio ids are in this format:

ZCCUUUU

Where:
Z = Zone (This used to be the home tower zone, but with the number of radios on the system, it's changed somewhat).

CC = County number (in this case 82 = Wayne County)

UUUU = Individual radio number within the group above. Typically odd number IDs are mobiles, and Even number IDs are Preps.

I've deleted several posts in this thread at the request of the OP since they discuss an ongoing, sensitive operation.

MSP South Dispatch?

Does anyone know what is going on with MSP District 2 South Dispatch? After the huge statewide msp reorganization they had moved all dispatch operations to District 2 North. Now it sounds like some dispatch operations are back on south. Anyone know what areas are on north & what ones are on south?

New Talkgroups

Some notes on new talkgroups active from Western Wayne.

22084 Dearborn Heights Fire
22086 Dearborn Heights Police
22094 Heard Inkster fire get a medical run on this TG. I also see this TG patched into 22099 often.
22096 Was patched into 22109
22097
22099 Inkster/Garden City Fire Dispatch
22101
22103
22105
22109 Westland/Garden City Police Dispatch
22110
22112
22113
22114
22118 Heard a Westland officer tell another to "go to 3" and they came up on this TG.
22119 Patched into 22120
22120 Westland/Wayne Fire Dispatch
22123 Lein traffic
22124
22125
22197 Base 14 repeating an address for station 1
22199 "ok you're coming in good station 3"

22054 Radio repair checking call boxes. Heard a ring tone and them an announcment that said "emergency call box, south employee lot building XXX" then someone answers "police emergency". I am guessing this is coming from DTW?

You say coming from DTW. What tower/frequencies. I have noticed that the regular TG on Western Wayne county frequencies are coming in broken up. Is this the start of Western Wayne County going to MPSCS?

Thanks

Just the last one 22054 was from DTW. All others seem to belong to Western Wayne and yes they have started the changeover to the MPSCS. Almost all of the traffic has been off Wayne Simulcast.

New one to watch: TGID 3046; Close to: 3645 e3d E D3FAT1 District 3: Fugitive Apprehension Team
However appears to be partly in the clear (about 50%). UID looks to be zone 3 Van Buren Co.

22054 sounds like what all the emergency phones at the airport use. There was a tg on the old type 2 system which was used for the same purpose.

How do I located the control channels for the Western Wayne(Westland, Wayne, GC, Inkster) MPSCS changed over? I reside in Westland. I'm new to this, but, am I correct in assuming I enter the control channels, then the talkgroups for specific agencies? I found the webpage that has the primary and secondary control channel freqs(Michigan's Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS) Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies) but should I use Northville, Flatrock, and/or Wayne County Simulcast towers? I don't think all the talkgroups channels for these agencies have been found yet? Any info appreciated.

I do have PSREDIT.

Thanks and good luck to all.

The Northville tower is denying WW talkgroups. Not sure about the other towers not named Wayne County Simulcast.
