Welcome to RR. You need to be a little more specific about your area, but I am assuming you are in Luzerne County. This list is NOT complete, but it might get you started: Luzerne County, Pennsylvania (PA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference Here is a more complete list: http://www.repeaterbook.com/repeaters/LocationSearch.php?state_id=42&loc=Luzerne&type=county

Good Luck living in Quakake you might have better luck reception than i did living in Tamaqua we were pretty in a hole and only hear the primary county repeaters.. Alot of the fire departments in that area use the business frequencies for private operations such as 154.6, 151.625 etc.. best thing to do is search around if nothing is listed. 154.0700 alerting and most Schuylkill CO fire companies use alpha pagers.

Wirelessly posted (Moto Droid Bionic: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.3; en-us; SAMSUNG SM-P605V Build/JSS15J) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/1.5 Chrome/28.0.1500.94 Safari/537.36)

Consider spending a little more for a dual band dual receive mobile, e.g., the Yaesu FT-8800R, as there are quite a number of wide-area coverage UHF repeater systems that include links in your area. W3BXW and N3KZ are two, for example. See http://arcc-inc.org/. I have other neUSA lists, including some in NY, at http://w2xq.com/bm-ar-fm.html. HTH.
