Acquired a like new Pro-164. Programed a Edacs system into it and nothing, completely silent.
Did a search and found 800 frreq's were off by .03750. Added .03750 to all nine freq.'s in this edacs system and it is working perfectly. Haven't missed any transmissions.
Is there anyway to retune the radio, say by hooking it to a PC ? Is this a common problem with these radios?
I have no motorola systems around to see if it would work on them with/without changing the freq.'s
The VHF hi/low freq's need no off set, but I have found the preprogramed weather and search channels are off freq by .03750.
I wonder if there are other Pro-164's off by .03750 or each Pro -164 is different.
