Does anyone know if you can combine trunked and conventional systems within the same scanlist?

I know the 996xt doesn't allow it but for some reason I thought it wasn't an issue with the 197.

Unfortunately there isn't enough activity with one of the agencies I'm trying to check out or I would probably have that answer by now. ;)

Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just assign the same scanlist number to each, program analog seperate from digital though.
No you dont want to put digital freqs in with analog. Local rs stores used to do that and it was awful! Customers would keep hearing the digital control channel noise etc. I showed them how not to do that anymore.

Use the same technique on the unidens as well for quickkeys. It works.

Thank you puzzle

Am I correct that it does not quite work the same way with the 996xt?

I seem to remember that the software, with freescan anyway, wouldn't allow it.

I have a 396xt with conventional analog and trunked channels all assigned to the same scanlist/quick key.

No problems at all. I programmed the scanner with Freescan.

Hmm, I guess I must've just read somewhere that it shouldn't be done.

And I also seem to remember accidently doing it with the freescan and it gave me some type of warning or error message.

Alrighty then men, thanks again.

I have analog, digital and P25 trunking running in one scan list on my Pro 106 and I have not had any issues.

From my PRO-197 manual (and likely yours):

You can also mix and match different object types in Scan Lists as
you see fit. There are no limitations as to the type of objects that can
exist together in the same Scan List.

Thanks maine

I have that page/site handy at all times. ;)

I remember seeing it there, I just wanted to know if it actually works well or if anyone is really doing it.

Thanks for your reply.
