In order to present consistent database entries nationwide and to come into compliance with database standards as defined in the Admin Handbook, actions will commence immediately to eliminate redundant naming/functionality. For example, a System or Category named New Braunfels will no longer contain New Braunfels as part of lower level Category or Description fields. This rule does not affect Alpha Tags though efforts to standardized naming and formats will occur in this area, as well. Additionally, standards within Description fields will also be enforced; a talkgroup with Mode = E (encrypted) will not contain "Encrypted" in the Description field.
This matter has been discussed extensively amongst database admins nationwide (worldwide); final directives have been issued and local admins will immediately comply.
