Anne Arundel County Police-CIT Unit

Any idea what the CIT unit is in Anne Arundel County or what the initials stand for?

I think it is similar to the Mobile Crisis Unit which are civilians but the CIT seems like they are actual police officers?

I just started hearing CIT on the radio about 3-4 weeks ago.

Critical Interventions Team I believe. I may have my counties confused though, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Crisis Intervention Teams are specially trained police officers who can respond to Mental Illness Crisis Calls.
