If someone wants to start a wiki page for this, so there's a permanent record of activity (useful for planning when next year's event happens), please let me know....Mike

123.025 The Helo Coordination Frequency would probably be another good one to listen too.

Would also be a perfect time to experiment with or at least familiarize oneself with AIS reception and plotting...

For those that don't know what Spleen is talking about...

AIS - The RadioReference Wiki

You would need a discriminator tapped scanner for this application. Fortunately the 2 freqs used in this service are available on even the cheapest of scanners

Yes, probably too late to obtain one for this festival, but a $15 R820T dongle and SDR# (with VB-Cable or similar installed) will get you started...Shipplotter is the de facto standard for receiving/plotting the transmissions, but there are other apps out there that don't cost anything...

President Barack Obama is planning to visit Fort McHenry on Friday during the 200th anniversary celebration of the Battle of Baltimore, sources with knowledge of the event said Wednesday.

Obama is planning to take a private tour of the fort before attending a previously scheduled fundraiser in Baltimore County, the sources said. It is not clear whether he will make a public appearance.

Nothing sailabration related heard on CMARC, in the past it was pretty active. There are some new encrypted talkgroups heard on FiRST, but can't tell if they are sailabration related

Yeah I was surprised that wasn't too much activity on CMARC or FiRST. Last time they had marine patches up on CMARC but not this time.

Might be activity on FiRST/CMARC in the next couple days when there is more people/events.
