Just wondering which town, small city, or MRC in West Que. would be using a 4.8k Nexedge system
with control channel on 152.105. It's fairly strong in the vicinity of Hawkesbury on the Ontario side.

Nothing is listed in TAFL which correlates to this, and early indication is police, fire,
and possibly some other services use this system. Can someone narrow this down if
only to locate where is the CC? The CC does not appear to rotate.

OK, more than a week and over 200 views but no response. Is anyone at all
interested in this system? You would think the word "police" would perk up
a few ears.

TAFL search on MRC de Papineau turns up a bunch of frequencies but 152.105 is not
one of them. It appears to be a separate system. If it's blocked in TAFL you would tend
wonder what it's used for.

NXDN48 System 2038 Site 1

Dave,
I guess I should check the Quebec forms more often.

I show 152.105 as NXDN48 System 2038 Site 1

I am east of Ottawa near 417 and exit 96.

Interesting. Still not sure if it's connected to the MRC de Papineau though they
use VHF NXDN. Pretty sure but not confirmed it's on the Que. side. Voice
channels are out there somewhere. Visited Infoscan but didn't see any discussion
of it.

data from DSD for 152.105

Dave,

Here is the data from DSD for 152.105
It is not a very strong signal.

Are there any other NXDN frequency's you would like me to try?

MRC de Papineau has some channels in the 152-154 range, supposedly public
works but may or may not be more than that. I mentioned this a couple of times
earlier, but no apparent interest at the time in pursuing it.

A year or so back I heard NXDN CC on 451.725, but on a recent trip out as far
as Wendover, did not hear it; might be worth another check. It would be north of
Cornwall (Bonnville).

Also, Mike (or anyone) if you could check 162.1200 east of Ottawa; I heard a 9.6k
NXDN CC during the summer, though normally out of range except during enhanced
conditions. Alternatively it might be on 163.0350.

The RID tag suggests police use.. Does the above indicate encryption?

Which community would be large enough to have its own trunked system in that
general area (Lachute maybe?), which does not use SQ for policing (or other such
as MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais)? Anyone?

I've heard something which might be NXDN96 trunking (or conventional) on 423.800,
424.150 and 423.025. Earlier I thought I'd heard a CC on 424.150 but it may have been
a long voice transmission, or data or ....? Frequencies come back to CKD776 (Protec)

423.800, 424.150 and 423.025 etc.

Dave,

I set everything up for 423.800 and it was on all afternoon while I was out but nothing was recorded.
Will keep an eye on the other frequency's.

Checking 424.15 now

mmisk: All MRC Papineau area is under SQ & MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais is still in VHF analog.

I will give it a try tonight to see if I receive it...

Agreed, I check occasionally and find MRC...Police still on their 153Mhz and 165MHz
channels.

Meantime I will keep guessing at the location of the NexEdge system....Mt. Tremblant
perhaps? I used to hear one of their fire channels on 151.700MHz, have not checked
recently but don't see anything in TAFL; do they use SQ, their own PD, or some other
regional service I might not be aware of?

Mt Tremblant have their own PD, I will run some testing tonight to see if I can find anything.

OK thanks roots...I hardly ever venture up that way, maybe once a year, partly due
to price of gas, but I have just seen Ottawa price fall below $1 (99.9c at Costco Merivale),
so who knows.
