Rumor has it, that Chemung fire is in the process or has been in the process of going from 46.180 to mid VHF somewhere.

Does anyone have any light on this?

Looking at there licenses on FCC website......UHF seems to be a new flavor ....but poke 155.250 in and see where that leads you. MY guess......Highband dispatch......UHF to operate on....i dont live out that way but i found on the web they got a 6 million dolla grant to upgrade.

Yea I was poking at ULS and found one of the licenses expired 10+ years ago, but didn't see any licenses for 46.18. What callsign did you see for that freq?

155.490 is the primary for Elmira. 155.250 use to be Elm Hts primary, now 250 belongs to Chemung Sheriffs.
