JAZZ and REX have been burning up the skies 2-3 times a day here lately in WHODAT and/or W155. If you have a decent outdoor antenna maybe you can hear them.

A little something I've been meaning to do for a while and finally threw together this morning. I'll be adding a bit more to it soon.

353.55 - Houston Center - REX02 declaring emergency, request direct to Callender. Having a fuel problem. Possible trapped gas, or just not transferring.

283.4 - newly found just now - At least 2 pilots A/A, inbound Navy New Orleans. While listening, mentioned that "this is the airspace we'll be fighting over" (WHODAT I assume). Also one pilot made mention of the barrier islands, and the other commented that they used to be a lot bigger too, before all the hurricanes.

No callsigns heard and or any clues as to their point of origin. If things keep going as they have been I guess the 159th will be going at it again in about 60-90 minutes. Maybe these guys too.

Was that the DC-10 that made the emergency landing about 5PM at IAH-Bush?

JAZZ and REX are 159 FW F-15s. Alvin Callender Field is NAS JRB New Orleans (NBG). Half the time they say Callender the other half Navy New Orleans. At the time he used Callender.

Heard two helos very strong on this frequency coordinating a landing. They mentioned something about the governor. Any idea who this is? Nat Guard? Coast Guard?
