Interesting. No idea where it would it be coming from. But there is definitely a distinct Canadian accent there. Didn't think they used frequencies in that range but guess they can be pretty much anywhere.
I'm about an hr away from CFB Petawawa maybe I'll put the frequency in the radio as an extra in my military section. They often do field training in my area. Maybe I'll hear something some day. Nice catch.

I've heard them on several frequencies lately. What's odd is they don't seem to use the standard 150.0 tone. It's carrier squelch.

I don't know enough about skip/ducting to know if this is possible, but could it be the CF crews that deployed to Kuwait to help combat ISIS? They got in place Wednesday and flew their first sortie earlier today.

IIRC there are some discussions of flight plans in that recording. The contingent in Kuwait is 6 CF18s, 2 CF-140 Auroras, and a tanker, plus lots of ground support.
