Lockheed VHF TRS

Out and about scanning today, appears as though Lockheed is starting to bring their VHF TRS on line. 2 TG's 100 & 103 were active with users talking about being able to see radio ID's showing up. ID's were 1010001, 1010020 & 1010100 and they were ID'd as ID 1, 20 & 100.

I take it the old Startsite 900 is gone? Interesting they have both a UHF and VHF Astro 25 system for on site use. Guess they can afford it with orders flying out the door with endless wars going on!

I can hear the control channel for this system surprisingly often from my location over 195 miles away, before any other VHF stuff in that area. It's strong enough that I question the accuracy of their license...

It's not shown in the DB, but the WACN is 0000A, NAC is 068.

The one thing I hate about my house, it sits in the lowest possible location in my subdivision! I know, get an outside antenna. O/S antenna needs to be on about a 40' tower just to get up to the tree line! Not only can I not pick up their signal from my house, I have trouble picking up the DTRS where the tower is about 2.5 miles as the crow flies!
